Shop/Hazmat

Charges for shop supplies and hazardous materials can be automatically calculated and added to the order. The rates for these charges are entered and maintained in the Shop/Hazmat dialog box.

To Enter/Edit Shop Supplies Costs:

1.Select Shop/Hazmat from the Shop Data Setup table (a selection from the Setup menu, or click the Setup button).

2.Enter/edit shop supply costs in the Shop Supplies section of the dialog box.

The Shop Supplies section of the dialog box contains the following fields:

  • Shop Supplies Percent Entry Field - Enter the percentage of parts or labor cost at which Shop Supplies should be extended on the order. Enter the percentage as a whole number. In orther words, enter 10 (not.10) to apply a 10% charge.
  • Percent of - Choose between Labor Sales or Parts Sales, or both, as your basis for the Shop Suplplies charge.
  • Taxable (option button)- Select if the shop supplies charge is taxable.
  • Default (option button)- Select if the shop supplies charge should be applied as default.
  • Maximum - The maximum dollard amount allowable for shop supplies.
  • Minimum - The minimum dollar amount allowable for shop supplies.
  • Account Classes - The accounting class for shop supplies.
  • Report Desc - The description (up to 256 characters) of the shop supplies charge, as you want it to print on the order.

3. Enter/edit shop Hazardous Material costs as necessary in the Hazardous Material portion of the dialog box.

The Hazardous Material portion of the dialog box contains the following fields:

  • Hazardous Material Percent Entry Field- Enter the percentage of parts or labor cost at which hazordous materials should be extended on the order. Enter percentage as a whole number. In other words, enter 10 (not .10) to apply a 10 % charge.
  • Percentage of- Choose between Labor Sales or Parts Sales, or both, as your basis for the hazardous materials charge is taxable.
  • Include Sublet- Check to include hazardous materials charges for sublet operations.
  • Default (option button)- Select if the hazardous materials charge should be applied as default.
  • Maximum- The maximum dollar amount allowable for hazardous materials.
  • Minimum- The minimum dollar amount allowable for hazardous materials.
  • Account Class- The accounting class for hazardous materials.
  • Report Description- The description ( up to 256 characters) of the hazardous materials charge, as you want it to print on the order.
  • Behavior - Choose Show & Tax as Labor to display and tax Hazmat as Labor or Show and Tax as Part to display and tax Hazmat as Parts.

4. Select OK to save your entries and exit.
